WHAT IS BELLAFILL®?
Bellafill® is the longest-lasting dermal filler we offer at Dermatology + Plastic Surgery for men and women in Central Florida who want to look younger without surgery. The product is FDA-approved for softening nasolabial folds, and we also use Bellafill® to treat acne scars. The secret behind Bellafill® is a unique formulation of microspheres that are suspended in a collagen gel. These two active ingredients work in combination to rebuild the underlying support structure. In young skin, collagen works alone in this fashion, but as we age, our bodies produce less collagen. By replenishing collagen levels and introducing non-absorbable microspheres into the skin, Bellafill® may produce amazing anti-aging results for you.
HOW CAN BELLAFILL® ENHANCE MY APPEARANCE?
Injections of Bellafill® are recommended for softening smile lines between your nose and corners of the lips. We also recommend Bellafill® for patients who have acne scars.
WHAT MAKES BELLAFILL® SUPERIOR?
The main reason that Bellafill® is considered superior to other dermal fillers is the presence of synthetic microspheres in the collagen suspension that make it one of the longest-lasting dermal fillers available. The microspheres are designed to be non-absorbable by the body. Other dermal fillers do contain similar microspheres, but over time, your body absorbs the microspheres which may mean follow-up treatments to replenish the spheres.
HOW DO BELLAFILL® TREATMENTS WORK?
Several injections are required to produce a consistent and natural-looking softening of your smile lines and acne scars. The needle that is used for the injections is very small, even smaller than the needles that are used for your immunizations. A small amount of product is injected into the skin at several points along the fold. In the case of treating an acne scar, the injections are made within the depression of the scar. Each treatment takes less than 30 minutes, and you may need two treatments to achieve the best possible results. The second treatment is scheduled four to six weeks after the first appointment.

Bellafill for acne scars – Bellafill is highly successful in eliminating acne scars during the course of treatment, as well as providing instant results from hollows and depressions.
Bellafill for cheeks – Bellafill works as a normal dermal filler in many ways, with the added long-term benefit of building a structure for your body’s natural collagen to cling to and grow.
Bellafill for pitted acne scars – Many acne scars leave pits and dimples in the skin that can be treated with both physical volume and collagen stimulation.
Bellafill for marionette lines – The lines that run from the mouth to the chin can be smoothed out and given added structure with Bellafill’s unique collagen-inducing formula.
Bellafill for 60-year-olds – There are many reasons a person in their 60s might benefit from a dermal filler like Bellafill, from wrinkle reduction to skin firming.
Bellafill for jowls – By providing the structure for collagen to effectively tighten skin, Bellafill is often a great solution for jowls.
Bellafill for forehead wrinkles – Not all the time forehead wrinkles are solved with a neuromodulator formula. In other cases, a dermal filler like Bellafill might have unique advantages.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER A BELLAFILL® TREATMENT?
Each patient is unique, so we cannot say that your results are permanent, but rather that, in clinical studies, Bellafill® provided longer-lasting results compared to other dermal fillers – This was an average duration of at least five years! Bellafill® immediately lifts the skin, and after a few weeks, the collagen is absorbed by the body. The microspheres stimulate your natural collagen production which replaces the collagen introduced with Bellafill® injections. Temporary swelling, bruising, and mild tenderness are possible.
HOW MUCH IS THE COST OF BELLAFILL® IN CENTRAL FLORIDA?
The cost of Bellafill® treatments vary by patient based on the amount of product that is needed. On average, Bellafill® costs $1,000 per syringe, and the treatment is not covered by insurance.
