The CoolPeel ™ procedure offers effective rejuvenation through comfortable, short sessions and requires virtually no downtime.

WHAT IS COOLPEEL™ AND WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT?

The CoolPeel ™ is an advanced method of ablative laser skin resurfacing. The system produces precise energy that is delivered to the skin in very short pulses, which removes the dull upper layer of the skin and stimulates new collagen production. We consider the CoolPeel ™ a non-invasive laser peel.

Many advances have been made to improve the side effects of CO2 treatments but ONLY the CoolPeel ™ can deliver a fractional ablative treatment without downtime. There is minimal risk of hyperpigmentation, demarcation, or infection.

HOW DOES COOLPEEL™ WORK?

CoolPeel ™ is a skin resurfacing treatment that can only be done using the SmartXide Tetra CO2 laser. Precise energy is delivered to the skin’s surface in order to remove the outermost layer of the skin. However, the advanced system prevents excess lingering heat, which makes the treatment more comfortable with shorter healing periods than other ablative treatments.

WHAT CAN COOLPEEL™ TREAT?

CoolPeel ™ can be used to treat a variety of skin concerns and is especially useful for reversing signs of aging. The treatment can be used to:

• Eliminate fine lines
• Reduce wrinkles
• Reduce appearance of pore size
• Improve skin texture

• Treat sun damage and remove sunspots
• Soften acne scars

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR COOLPEEL™?

Most people who wish to diminish fine lines, reduce signs of sun damage such as sun spots, reduce the visibility of pores, or improve skin texture make good candidates for the CoolPeel ™. Patients should be healthy with no active skin inflammation or infection before undergoing treatment.

It is critical to inform us if you have a history of herpes (cold sores or fever blisters). We sometimes advise avoiding laser resurfacing if your skin tone is of a darker complexion due to a higher risk of post-procedure discoloration or recommend adjunctive treatment with hydroquinone cream. We often prefer alternate methods of treatment for brown and black skin types so please ask for a personalized consultation.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A COOLPEEL™

CoolPeel ™ treatments only take about 15-20 minutes to treat an area such as the face. Additional time will be needed if adding additional areas, such as the neck, chest, or hands. The procedure is comfortable, and well tolerated without pain medication or numbing (while we offer ProNox ™ to decrease procedural anxiety).

Short pulses of energy are delivered to the treatment area using a Tetra CO2 laser machine. Results can be seen after one session alone, but multiple treatments, often three, are typically recommended depending on your goals and the severity of the skin concern being treated.

WHAT DOES A COOLPEEL ™ COST?

Cost can range from $600 (neck treatment), $800 (face treatment), to $1,250 when treatment is combined with other synergistic technology such as Vivace Microneedling. As a treatment series is often recommended for best results, we offer a 10% savings when a series is purchased.
